AWARD-WINNING Great Taste!!
An underrated treasure from often wild-growing trees, quince is a fruit packed with vitamins. The fruits of the quince tree can conjure up a beautifully fragrant, refined marmalade that stands out with its unmistakable aroma. We believe you'll fall in love with it just as we have!
The true progenitor of all marmalades, quince, cannot be eaten raw, but it's all the better when processed into preserves. In fact, it was from quince (which is "marmelo" in Portuguese) that marmalades got their name.
Quince jam (as any marmalade made from non-citrus fruits is now correctly called) is smoothly strained, piquant, and fragrant. Due to our traditional processing methods, the content of each jar is an original, and no synthetic preservatives or dyes are used in its production.
GREAT TASTE RATING: Wonderfully aromatic on nose and palate, and we loved the smooth, velvety texture (despite the inevitable granularity), the lift of acidity, the hint of spiciness and the depth of tropical quince flavour. A wealth of culinary uses suggests itself, but we'd happily just spoon this from the jar, perhaps just considering a touch of thick Greek yoghourt or whipped mascarpone to accompany.Wonderfully aromatic on nose and palate, and we loved the smooth, velvety texture (despite the inevitable granularity), the lift of acidity, the hint of spiciness and the depth of tropical quince flavour. All of the fragrance and freshness of quince is here and the characteristic grittiness in the mouth.
